
Pierce The Veil is an American rock band from San Diego, California, a unique genre of music is sometimes referred to as "Mexicore" by fans. Formed in 2006, the group founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes after the dissolution of the Early Times group formed from San Diego punk rock. Pierce The Veil has released two studio albums and has continuously been inducted into several tours around the world since the release of their debut album, A Flair for the Dramatic in 2007.
A new album, titled "Collide With The Sky," was recently announced for release on July 17, 2012, under the label Fearless Records.

Early years and debut album (1998-2006)

Pierce The Veil was founded by Mike and Vic Fuentes and started their first band in 1998 under the name of Early Times. Their first recording titled No Turning Back, a rapid release of 11 songs that circulate through the local scene, they landed their first concert and marked the beginning of their life as a musician thirsty and eager. This release was soon followed by, song 4 untitled EP. Following the relative success of this release, the band recorded another EP entitled Roots Roots Beneath Ideals, and continue to build their fan base into a solid foundation. EP has finally made it into the hands of the owner of the record label Equal Vision Records Steve Reddy, who signed them shortly after seeing them perform in the village of San Diego. Armed with their first recording contract just out of high school, they released their first major label album A Celebration of an Ending with a new band name: Before Today, which is the title of a song from the album No Turning Back. This name change is a result of the issue of copyright on the "Early Times" real name. This album contains re-recordings of three songs from the EP and the Roots Beneath Ideals DoubleTime recorded at a studio in El Cajon, California, with producer Jeff Forrest.
A Flair for the Dramatic "A Flair for the Dramatic" (2006-2009)

In the fall of 2006, after about a year of heavy touring on their first official release, the group was disbanded leaving Mike and Vic Fuentes as the remaining members, replacing Joe Tancil (guitar) and Mitchell Ballatore (bass). The brothers continued to write songs together and eventually come up with enough material for a new full-length album. Still supported by label Equal Vision Records, they write and record an entire album of their own in Seattle, WA with producer Casey Bates. They released their second album titled A Flair for the Dramatic on June 26, 2007 under the new name of Pierce the Veil, which comes from a song off of Before Today's album, A Celebration of an Ending. Soon after, Pierce The Veil acquire new members Tony Perry (guitar) and Jaime Preciado (bass). The song "I'd Rather Die Than Be Famous" from this album was featured in the game Tony Hawks Proving Ground.
Pierce The Veil toured vigorously for about 3 months after the release of A Flair for the Dramatic A. They have toured with bands like A Day to Remember, Chiodos, From First to Last, Emery, Devil Wears Prada and Mayday Parade. In November 2007, Pierce The Veil made a date on the Vans Warped Tour in 2007, and was on the whole tour in 2008. They also played the Bamboozle Left in 2008. The first headlining tour, entitled The Delicious Tour, which took place in October-November 2008, featuring Breathe Carolina, Four Letter Lie and Emarosa. They end the cycle of their recordings with 2009 Taste of Chaos tour with Bring Me the Horizon, Thursday, Four Year Strong and Cancer Bats.
Vic and Mike Fuentes with Ayrton Jara confirmed to be included in new projects and supergroups Isles & Glaciers, featuring vocalist Craig Owens of DRUGS and Jonny Craig of Dance Gavin Dance and Emarosa former. The "supergroup" released their first EP titled The Hearts Of Lonely on March 9, 2010. However, Isles & Glaciers have broken up, saying "Isles & Glaciers is it just one time".
Selfish Machines "Selfish Machines" (2009-2011)

During the month of August 2009, Pierce The Veil announced that they were in the studio recording new material for the next album. After several months of road and building anticipation for their sophomore release, the band moved to Los Angeles to record a new album "Selfish Machines" them with producer Mike Green. Singer and lyricist Vic Fuentes stated, "This title refers to the human nature and animal-like qualities in ourselves that we try and hide, but just have to learn to accept We are all selfish and machine. We all have a natural tendency to want, love , and receiving. "Selfish Machines was released on June 21, 2010. Note Equal Vision Records and managed to reach # 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. To support the release, the band played a number of festivals including the Bamboozle Left, South by Southwest, Never Say Never Festival, and the Vans Warped Tour. The band also contributed a cover of the classic song Blue Oyster Cult's "(Do not Fear) The Reaper" for compilation Punk Goes Classic Rock, was released on April 27, 2010. They are part of the action Tour with Attack Attack! that went to New Zealand and Australia, and also played on tour in Japan with Confide Versus. They play "This Is a Family Tour" with Emmure, In Fear and Faith, Of Mice & Men, and Attack Attack, which lasted until the end of December 2010 !. Pierce The Veil also play at the Fox Theater in Pomona as a surprise appearance as part of the Alternative Press Tour 2010 with bands like August Burns Red, Bring Me the Horizon, Polar Bear Club, Emarosa, and This Is Hell. On November 1, 2010, the band announced that they will be kicking off the 2011 tour with Silverstein, Miss May I, The Chariot, and A Bullet for Pretty Boy on the "Tour Winterizer". Throughout March and April, "The Gamechanger Tour" by A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon, and label-mates. We Came as Romans Followed.
